The final exam average was 77.2 which is great (and
our highest average of the semester)! There
were 107 people who took the exam (13 people who are
still registered didn't show up at all), 23 As,
25Bs, 34Cs, 17Ds, and 8Fs.
·
Don't forget to contact me if you are thinking about
taking more biology classes, becoming a biology
minor, or major.

Have a great break!

on global warming/climate change.
Make sure to read the instructions and complete
the assignment.

On Thursday, we
went through aerobic cellular respiration in
class. Please
to print the corresponding notes in the
outline. You need these
for class on Tuesday!
-
for the electron transport chain graphic and

for a summary overview to aerobic respiration.
-
Make sure to
attend SI or one of the review sessions next
week (see 2/20 announcements).
-
Here are some
graphics and animations to help with
photosynthesis
and
cellular respiration.
Make sure to enable macros and turn on your
sound in order to view the animations properly.
Follow along with the diagrams I gave you in
class.

Next week there
will be two extra review
sessions dedicated to photosynthesis and
cellular respiration (this is in ADDITION
to the 8 SI sessions next week). These
sessions will be led by Korey and I highly
recommend you try to attend one. This
material is tough and you need to see it many
times (preferable before you bail for Spring
Break!) for everything to click. These
sessions are a great time to go through the
material again in a low stress (meaning not the
week before the exam) setting. The first
session will be Tuesday, February 26 at 5:00pm
in Woodward 265 and the second session will be
next Thursday, February 28 at 9:30 in Woodward
271. Mark it on your calendar!

As you know, we
will not have class on Thursday. Instead,
you will complete an out of class assignment on
our next topic (chemistry). The assignment
(and all of the instructions) is
here and
the PP graphics you need are
here.
You will need both of these things to
complete the assignment.

bonding. This is not part of the
assignment but is good exam practice!

If you haven't
completed the class survey, please make sure to

As promised, here
is a filled in
outline for cells
(which was to be our topic in class today).
accompanying graphics.
There are a few areas that are still blank which
I plan to discuss on Tuesday. Please make
sure you have looked over this outline and the
accompanying graphics before class on Tuesday.
As I mentioned in my email, there is a lot of
memorization involved with cell structure so the
more times you see it, the easier it will be for
you to remember the parts.
